“Embracing Change – Facility Energy & Environmental Transition Challenges”

Registration is open for CIBO’s first in-person conference of 2025 designed to focus on a wide range of policy and technical issues in industrial energy. Included in the May conference agenda, Eastman Chemical Company is partnering with CIBO to offer an afternoon tour of their Tennessee Operations combined heat and power facilities at Kingsport, TN. The Kingsport site is home to the company’s largest manufacturing facility along with its company headquarters. The Tennessee Operations site is situated on approximately 1070 acres and typically requires 3,600,000 lbs/hr (4,000,000 lbs/hr peak) of 600 psig superheated steam and 170 MW (190 MW peak) to power the facility. This energy is supplied by 4 powerhouses containing 17 boilers and 19 turbogenerators fired with coal and natural gas.

Registration

Registration is open to both CIBO members and non-members. The conference registration fee covers the full conference: meeting materials and all speaker presentations, breakfast, lunch, receptions and dinners. Please visit the event website here to register. Registration is required to attend.

Hotel

The meeting will be held at the MeadowView Conference Resort & Convention Center (1901 Meadowview Parkway, Kingsport, Tennessee 37660). CIBO’s room block rate is ($165/night). To book your room click here.

The hotel offers an airport shuttle, available upon request by contacting the hotel. Tri-Cities Airport, is the closest airport, approximately 15 miles to the hotel.
